Halo Group Launches Brisbane Office

Halo Group Holdings is pleased to announce the launch of its Brisbane office, with three of the Group’s companies Hamilton Locke, The Fold Legal and Source to be co-located in the prestigious Riverside Centre at 123 Eagle Street, in the heart of the Brisbane CBD.

In launching the Brisbane office, Hamilton Locke has appointed two new partners, Peter Williams and Mark Schneider, as foundation partners of the firm’s Brisbane presence. Peter joins from McCullough Robertson and advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, corporate governance, joint ventures, infrastructure arrangements and commercial contracts. Mark is a strategic commercial litigator who joins from global firm Norton Rose Fulbright with extensive specialist experience in corporate restructuring, business turnarounds, insolvency and commercial dispute resolution.

Halo Group recently announced its acquisition of leading financial services regulatory firm and 2021 Australasian Law Awards ‘Boutique Firm of the Year’ winner, The Fold Legal. The Fold’s Brisbane team is led by 2021 Lawyers Weekly ‘Financial Services Partner of the Year’ finalist, Charmian Holmes. Charmian specialises in regulation for general insurance, fintech and insurtech, and heads up the firm’s corporate advisory and transactions practice.

Source, also part of Halo Group, will continue and expand its Brisbane presence. Source provides outsourced in-house style legal, human resources and CFO services on a monthly retainer basis. In Queensland, Source has seven senior lawyers and human resources consultants, including the firm’s human resources leadership team, Hayley Furer and Tina Melbourne.

This announcement comes as Halo Group recently announced its intention to list on the stock exchange.
